Sunday Christian was at church and asked to be baptized — the day before his fifth brain surgery. The church did everything they could to let Christian accept Jesus Christ before his friends and family.
The next day, Christian went into surgery. The surgery was easier and quicker than originally expected, great news! Unfortunately, the doctors came back with the news that this tumor was, yet again, something they had never seen before. The tumor was sent off to Purdue labs for further research and study in hopes of finding a medication to combat the growth of the cancer in his head.
After waking up, Christian was himself! Feeling no pain, Christian joked with his uncle and grandparents and even Skyped his siblings and best friend just hours after coming out of surgery! The growing boy asked for the hearty meal of chicken noodle soup, mashed potatoes and four lemonades for dinner.
Going home the next day, P.F. Changs was on the menu. Wednesday, Christian attended school for two hours in the morning! Coming home with a headache, naps and Tylenol faded the pain. Later in the evening, get well gifts awaited Christian. Thursday brought the removal of the bandage from his surgery and a rocket fuel science experiment! Sometimes relaxing at home is the best remedy in life…
Friday welcomed candy and sugar, once again, and Saturday brought the promise of Dairy Dream, a local ice cream shoppe, opening for the season! Christian headed over to Chuck E. Cheese with his best friend and the other kids enjoyed movies and making yarn bracelets at home.
